Microsoft"s Whiteboard app has only been available for Windows 10 and iOS so far, but today the company announced the service is now available on the web, making it possible for users on different platforms to use it too. However, Whiteboard on the web is currently only available to Office commercial customers, so the general public still won"t be able to use it.
Microsoft says this initial version of Whiteboard on the web is focused on real-time inking, so many of the more complex features won"t be available, but you"ll still be able to access your existing boards. More features from the native Whiteboard apps will come to the web over time, but Microsoft didn"t say if general users will also be able to access the web version of Whiteboard.
Microsoft also announced that Whiteboard is now integrated into Teams, alongside an extensive list of other new features coming to the communication tool for organizations.
If you"re an Office commercial user, you can access Whiteboard on the web here, or find it on the Office portal. If you go through the Office website, you"ll also see that Whiteboard has a new icon that fits the design language used for most of Microsoft"s recent icons.
