Microsoft will announce Xbox One X pre-orders on Sunday

At last year"s E3 conference, Microsoft teased the "most powerful console ever", calling it Project Scorpio. At this year"s event, the company named it the Xbox One X, also announcing that it will be available on November 7 for $499.

Unfortunately, while there have been listings on the Microsoft Store, Amazon, and more since then, there"s still been no way of pre-ordering the device. It looks like that will all change on Sunday at Gamescom, as Microsoft will finally be announcing information about pre-orders.

The news comes from Amazon, which is sending emails to customers that requested additional information about availability (via Windows Central).

In short, it"s time to break out your credit card if you"re like us and you want to have one on day one. The console will start at $499, £449, and €499 in the US, UK, and EU, respectively.

The Xbox One X will likely ship with the Fall update for the family of consoles, which is currently in testing with Alpha ring Insiders. Yesterday, a build was released that allows gamers to see which of their games supports 4K, HDR, and have been enhanced for the One X.
