Microsoft working on a fix for broken Sticky Notes in the latest Fast ring build [Update]

Microsoft released Windows 10 build 18309 yesterday, the first Fast ring Insider Preview build for 2019. The build, part of the 19H1 development branch, is a test build for the next major update to Windows 10 that is expected to be released sometime in the first half of this year. Though there were a couple of new features such as PIN reset and password improvements, the build also came with its list of known issues as is expected in these preview releases.

Of the known issues, the only one pertaining to Sticky Notes involved an issue with hyperlink colors on Dark Mode. However, users of the note-taking app began noticing that the app refused to launch and remained stuck on the “Loading Sticky Notes” screen. Microsoft’s Jen Gentleman quickly acknowledged the issue on Twitter and confirmed that the team was working to fix it.

The issue was also acknowledged by Reza Jooyandeh from the Sticky Notes team, whoconfirmed that a fix is on the way. The fix will come in the way of an app update through the Microsoft Store.

👋🏼 #WindowsInsiders, if you have upgraded to 18309, after launching Sticky Notes, the app would get stuck on "Loading Sticky Notes". I just want to let you know that we are on it and will publish a fix through the store soon, stay tuned and sorry for the inconvenience. pic.twitter.com/XItIKZGyQS

In case you installed build 18309 yesterday and are unable to use the app, the wait for a fix shouldn’t be too long.

Update: The update is now available on the Microsoft Store for Insiders in the Fast Ring. The update carries number 3.5.4.0.
