Microsoft working on a fix for the Lumia 535 touch sensitivity issue

After dropping the Nokia name in the midst of Microsoft"s purchase of Nokia"s Services and Devices Division, the people at Redmond then unleashed a new handset called the Microsoft Lumia 535, a device pointed at the low-end section of smartphones, but carrying engaging specifications at a very low price.

Despite the power and affordability of the device, it has been noticed by a lot of users that there is an issue concerning its touch detection and sensitivity. Some users reported that touch is not sometimes registered correctly, or the device has a too low touch sensitivity.

However, there is no need to worry and doubt about getting the handset anymore, as Microsoft has acknowledged the problem and is now reportedly working on a fix. It will arrive as a small over-the-air (OTA) update soon. It is not known when this fix will arrive for the new Microsoft-branded device.

For a refresher, here are the specifications of the Lumia 535:

  • 5" qHD (960 x 540) IPS LCD display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB internal storage (MicroSD card expandable)
  • 5-megapixel rear camera with flash
  • 5-megapixel wide angle front camera
  • Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim
  • Dual Sim capable

While waiting for a fix, it has been suggested by users to turn off Screen Magnifier, which is turned on by default and can be found in the “Ease of Access” section of device settings. This reportedly improves the touch sensitivity of the device.
