And trust me- us Europeans dont pussy about when it comes to anti-competitive behavior - no sirreee bob :D
"A REPORT in today"s Financial Times claimed that a group of 30 computer companies is pressing the €uropean Commission to bash Microsoft hard when it makes a decision on alleged antitrust violations within the next fortnight. The paper said that the Computer and Communications Industry Association – which includes Sin Mucrosystems, Oracle, Casio and Fujitsu – wants €C competition watchdog Mario Monti to make Microsoft rend apart its Windows software.
Microsoft claims that breaking its Windows software into separate components will be bad for people who use it and will prevent new ideas from emerging. The CCIA, the newspaper reports, is concerned about Microsoft extending its alleged monopolistic practices to other parts of the computing and mobile phone industry. The €C, if it really gets tough, could fine Microsoft up to 10 per cent of its global turnover, if Monti decides it has breached Euro antitrust rules. "
Whats gunna happen? Microsoft will pay off all involved... and we will never hear of this again :)
