Microsoft's Lumia 950 will reportedly be released in the US on November 20

It"s been just over a month since Microsoft unveiled its two new Windows 10 Mobile flagships, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL. At their announcement, Microsoft said that they would be available to buy in the US sometime in November - but we"re now almost a third of the way through the month, and it still hasn"t publicly revealed an exact date for their release.

But according to Windows Central, a launch date has been set for the smaller of the two handsets, although that date has not yet been officially announced. AT&T - which will be the only carrier in the United States to offer the Lumia 950 - will reportedly begin selling it on Friday, November 20.

AT&T won"t be selling the larger Lumia 950 XL, but it will be sold unlocked and off-contract via the Microsoft Store - although buyers will of course have to pay the full $649 handset cost up front.

Microsoft has previously said that the Lumia 950 will be priced at $549 off-contract, but on-contract pricing on AT&T has not been revealed. Today"s report suggests that it may cost as little as $99 upfront on a two-year plan, and that the carrier could open its pre-order book later this week, but this remains unconfirmed.

Microsoft Germany revealed a few days ago that the Lumia 950 and 950 XL will go on sale there on November 28; and the two handsets will also be available in India from next month.
