Microsoft's Phil Spencer on emulating Xbox 360 games on Windows 10 PCs: 'Never say never'

Microsoft has been regularly adding games to its Xbox Backward Compatibility program, which is over a year old. The program allows people with Xbox One consoles to play supported Xbox 360 games on their device. Currently, the Xbox 360 backward compatibility list contains over 300 titles.

Now, Xbox head Phil Spencer might have hinted at an exciting possibility that might be doable in the near future - the ability to emulate Xbox 360 games on Windows 10 PCs.

In a Twitter exchange, Phil Spencer has stated that emulating Xbox 360 games on Windows 10 PCs might be possible in the future. However, the executive has understandably sounded cautious, to avoid unfairly raising the hopes of fans.

Spencer says that it would be considerably difficult to emulate Xbox 360 games on various configurations of hardware on PCs. However, he has entertained the possibility with a rather optimistic "never say never".
