If you"ve been waiting on an inexpensive way to get your hands on Mirosoft"s dual-screen Surface Duo smartphone and you"re willing to be an AT&T customer, now is the time. The carrier is offering a deal where you can get it for just $10 a month. As always with carriers, there"s a catch, and the catch is that you have to trade in an eligible device.
AT&T makes it easy enough to look up the value of a trade-in, and if you"ve got a modern premium phone, you"ll probably get the full $700 value. Older devices seem to be worth $350. For example, all iPhones going back to the iPhone 8 seem to be worth $700, and anything made before that is worth $350, even the original iPhone SE, which was worth $399 when it launched.
The Surface Duo includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, which is two generations old now, 4G LTE connectivity, 6GB RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The big story is the pair of 5.6-inch displays, which are AMOLED with 1800x1350 resolutions. They combine for an 8.1-inch 3:2 display when the device is unfolded.
The only color it comes in is Glacier. If you want to check out the smartphone on AT&T, you can find it here.
