Last week, Microsoft announced its spring Surface refreshes, and while not all of the new devices launch at the same time, the first wave of them arrives tomorrow. That includes the Surface Go 2, Surface Headphones 2, and Surface Earbuds.
The Surface Go 2 has some key improvements over its predecessor for a device that"s in an identical chassis. The biggest change is that the screen is bigger at 10.5 inches instead of 10 inches, and that means that the bezels are smaller. The CPU has been bumped up from the Pentium Gold 4415Y to the Pentium Gold 4425Y, a moderate change, but there"s now a more expensive options for a Core m3-8100Y.
The Surface Earbuds were announced back in October, but they ended up getting delayed until availability was announced alongside the new devices last week. And finally, the Surface Headphones 2 now come in black, and they also promise better battery life. Of course, the other major bit about the Headphones 2 is that even with the improvements, they cost $100 less than their predecessor.
The Surface Go 2 starts at $399.99, and you can pick it up from the Microsoft Store here and Amazon here. For $549.99, you"ll still get a Pentium Gold, but it will come with 8GB RAM instead of 4GB, and a 128GB SSD instead of slower 64GB eMMC storage. For $629.99, it comes with the Core m3-8100Y, and for $749.99, you"ll get 4G LTE connectivity.
