Microsoft's wireless All-In-One Media Keyboard for Smart TVs announced

Microsoft has  announced an interesting new product from its PC hardware division that designed to work in the living room as well as in a home office. It"s their All-In-One Media Keyboard, and this wireless product is meant primarily to be placed on a lap so its owners can use it to connect to smart TVs and even Xbox consoles.

The keyboard has a built in touchpad on the right side that"s meant to take the place of a mouse, along with volume and mute controls on the left. While it can be used on a Windows 8 PC, Microsoft says some USB HID-compliant smart TVs are also supported by the keyboard. It comes with a wireless transceiver that plugs into a USB port. It is also supposed to work on Microsoft"s Xbox consoles, in case you want to type in messages and promo codes instead of the on-screen keyboard.

Microsoft says that the All-In-One Media Keyboard has been tested extensively to make sure it is comfortable to use while in the living room. It"s also supposed to be highly durable and spill-resistant, in case someone knocks over a drink. The All-In-One Media keyboard will go on sale later in April for the price of $39.99.
