Although Microsoft has not officially announced the release date, the date aligns with other merchants like Amazon and GameStop, that also list the controller as being available on October 27th.
At $150 USD, the new peripheral won"t be for everyone, but the design and features are a clear indication Microsoft is trying to offer something different for those that require the best. When we got our hands on it during E3, we were impressed by the build quality, even going as far to say that it is the best Xbox controller money can buy.
Everything about this controller oozes quality - as the construction, customizability, and price are beyond anything we have ever seen before. The D-pad, paddles, and thumbsticks are constructed using stainless steel. The controller provides a comfortable grip thanks to its "rubberized diamond grip."
Those in the UKmay be able to purchase the new controller on the same date for £119.99, but that won"t be clear as the local Microsoft Store is still listing a vague availability of October 2015.
