Mike Ybarra: Xbox One X Blu-ray specific fixes coming in the next few days

It has only been a few days since the release of the Xbox One X, but it looks like those trying to enjoy Blu-rays are seeing issues with the color presentation. This was reported as a "disaster" by John Archer of Forbes, although now it looks like a fix is incoming.

Xbox One X users - Blu-Ray specific fixes coming very soon to correct raised black levels w/HDR movies, etc. Few days away. #Xbox

If you didn"t have time to glance over the Forbes piece, the problem stems from raised black levels when playing high dynamic range (HDR) content. This results in dark scenes in films being punched up, and even the letterboxing being noticeably off color. Luckily, Microsoft"s Mike Ybarra, who is the Corporate Vice President of Xbox, has chimed in stating that a solution is coming and that it will arrive in the next few days.
