Minimail 2.0 Beta 2 released

Minimail is a small, convenient and easy to use tool for the creation and sending of plain text e-mails. Minimail features file attachments, multiple accounts, signatures, logging, SMTP authentication, undo and redo, view settings and more. Its primary purpose is to provide a quick and easy way to send e-mails without the need to open your bulky, full-featured e-mail client. Minimail is fully resizable and can be minimized to the task bar or the system tray. It can also be set to the default mail client to load automatically when a "mailto:" link is clicked in your web browser.

Changes from Beta 1 to Beta 2:

  • Logging settings in preferences - can turn logging features on/off, save sent messages and perform maintenance functions

  • Font settings - can now select font, bold and italic as well as size

  • Multiple recipients - enter each e-mail address seperated by a comma

  • Uninstaller confirms removal of registry settings

  • Attachments > File count and total file size displayed

  • Option to disable Visual Styles support in Windows XP (only available from advanced preferences - press F12 to view)

  • Clicking "From:" on the main dialog opens the accounts dialog

  • Removing all file attachments actually removes attachments

  • Minimail is now brought on top of other windows when passed a mailto link

  • Keyboard shortcuts for edit menu removed (prevented shortcuts in other text areas from working)
