MOG is a music streaming and download service that offers its users access to millions of songs. It has been available for Windows owners via a web browser for a while but this week MOG launched a dedicated Windows app that allows users to listen to its library of songs without the need to open a web browser.
The MOG Windows app has AirPlay support which means if you own a device that supports it, you can also stream music from the PC app to your nearby stereo system. It has support for 320 kbps audio and it also has a number of keyboard commands for features like play, pause and more.
The bad news is that while the Windows app is free to download, you will have to pay a monthly subscription fee to access MOG"s library of songs via the software (using the web browser version is still free). Paying $4.99 a month also eliminates the service"s ads and throws in support for using MOG via the Roku set-top box and select LG "smart" TVs. Playing $9.99 a month gives MOG users access to their various mobile apps for iOS and Android. The $9.99 subscription level also supports unlimited downloads of the music for offline play.
