LG is set to unveil its flagship smartphone for 2018, the G7 ThinQ at an event scheduled for tomorrow. However, the device has already received a lot of press coverage thanks to leaks from multiple sources over the past few months. In the latest leak, the device is being shown from various angles and some of the colors in which it is expected to launch.
The G7 ThinQ is expected to launch in five color options as per a leak from last month, however only three have appeared in the latest post from Winfuture.de. These images are consistent with those leaked in the past and the real world shots which appeared earlier today.
Other than the renders, the report from WinFuture mentions some of the hardware details of the device. The G7 ThinQ will feature a dual-camera setup with a 16.3-megapixel and a 16-megapixel sensor paired together. Both are said to feature an f/1.6 aperture but there is no information on whether one of them is a telephoto or a wide angle shooter.
The smartphone will reportedly come in either 4 GB or 6GB RAM variants depending on the launch market. The internal storage is said to be 64 GB for both variants, however another article has tipped the 6 GB variant to feature 128 GB of storage. There is no confirmation on the presence of an expansion slot for storage. LG seems to have opted for a 3,000 mAh battery for the G7 ThinQ, which is slightly smaller than last year"s G6. On the bright side, the device is expected to support Qualcomm"s QuickCharge 4.0 standard for fast charging over USB Type-C.
On the software side, the device is said to launch with Android 8.0 Oreo and the same was also confirmed by Geekbench results spotted last week. With just under 24 hours left for the launch of the device, we won"t have to wait much to know more about the device.
