More images showing Google's upcoming Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones pop up

Google’s upcoming Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, the company’s rumored follow-up to its Nexus line of devices, have been leaked countless times. From details about their specifications, to educated renders, to seemingly real life images have graced the internet over the past few months. Now, more credible images have popped up, showing black and white models.

The two handsets, codenamed Marlin and Sailfish, are expected to be almost identical to each other, with strong design cue taken from previous iPhones. The new images aren’t as interesting as previous leaks which showed the devices in their full glory.

However, the new images, which come from a Hong Kong spare parts dealer that previously accurately leaked Moto handsets, show the front plates of the two Pixel phones. The images appear to be legitimate and gel well with previous renders and expectations. However, as usual we need to urge caution when jumping to conclusions based on leaks.

In terms of actual specifications, the upcoming Pixel and Pixel XL models are expected to offer powerful internals and great performance, as well as showcase Android Nougat 7.1.

Google is expected to unveil the two handsets, as well as some other new hardware at an event scheduled for October 4th, so we won’t have too long to wait before we see what the company’s flagships are capable of.
