Toshiba has already announced plans to release the Windows 8-based Satellite U925t notebook-tablet hybrid earlier this week but that"s not all the PC maker had to show off during this week"s IFA trade show. The company also revealed a number of more conventional Windows 8 notebooks, including one with a touch screen.
Engadget reports that the device with the touch screen will be the Satellite P845t, which has a 14 inch screen and a resolution of 1,366x768. It will have either Intel Core i3 or i5 processors inside, supports up to 6 GB of RAM and supports up to 750 GB of hard drive space. Look for three USB 3.0 ports in this notebook along with a HDMI port.
If you want a larger notebook but with no touch screen, Toshiba will also release the Satellite S955 (shown above). The 15 inch notebook can have either an Intel Core i5 chip or an AMD A8 APU. It also comes with support for up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 750 GB in hard drive storage. There are two USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 2.0 port, a HDMI port and an integrated DVD disc drive.
Finally, there"s the Satellite U945, a more budget minded Windows 8 Ultrabook with a 14 inch screen and support for either Intel Core i3 or i5 processors. You can get a hard drive of up to 500 GB inside, and you can add an optional 32 GB SSD. There"s also two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port and a HDMI port.
Toshiba is still not revealing prices for any of its upcoming Windows 8 notebooks.
