A couple weeks ago, we got a peek at Lenovo"s upcoming Moto G5 Plus, which is slated to be announced next week at Mobile World Congress, alongside the smaller G5. It would seem that the beans have been spilled early, however, as retailer K-Tronix published listings for the handsets, which have since been removed.
Here"s what to expect:

As you can see, there"s quite the mix of specs here. The Moto G5 is a very modest improvement over the G4, which uses a Snapdragon 617 chipset. The 617 came with an Adreno 405 GPU, and eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores, with four clocked at 1.5GHz and four clocked at 1.2GHz.
While the Snapdragon 625 in the G5 Plus would seem like a greater improvement, there doesn"t seem to be any options for more RAM, as the G4 Plus had models with 3GB and 4GB RAM, as well as a base model with 2GB.
Of course, there"s not quite enough information provided about the camera. The resolution on the G5 is the same as the G4, although PDAF will be a nice addition. It would seem that the G5 Plus will replace the G4 Plus"s hybrid autofocus (PDAF and laser focus) system with "Dual Autofocus Pixels". Still, we"ll know more when we find out the sensor size, aperture, and everything else.
Neowin will be at Mobile World Congress, so we"ll be sure to go hands-on with the device as soon as it"s launched.
