Yesterday, Lenovo announced the Moto Z2 Force, along with a couple of new Mods, including a 360-degree camera. The internals are what you"d expect from a 2017 flagship Android phone, including Qualcomm"s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage.
But it also includes Motorola"s ShatterShield technology, with the Lenovo subsidiary promising that the screen won"t break. Indeed, this was demoed for us at the event, where representatives were dropping the handset onto a brick floor.
The firm is also continuing to bump up its camera game, as the Z2 Force includes two lenses on the back, one of which is monochrome, and they use a combination of phase detect and laser autofocus. The front camera has an LED flash as well.
And then there"s the 360-degree camera Mod. We were also given this to review, but I"m not sure how it would work out in day-to-day use. Obviously, it"s not something that you"d keep on your phone all of the time, but the Moto Z2 Force really feels like it"s meant to have a Mod on it.
