Motorola may not have many tricks up its sleeve in 2018, as a leak early in the year seemingly revealed a lot of the company"s upcoming phones, but the company is still in the process of officially announcing all of them. With devices such as the G6 having already been unveiled officially, it may now be time for another one.
The company has sent out press invites to an event taking place on June 6 in Brazil, and even though there"s no mention of the Z3 Play, the timing does line up pretty closely with the announcement of last year"s Z2 Play.
According to previously leaked information, the phone is expected to have a Snapdragon 636 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage, a 3,000 mAH battery and a 1080p screen in the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio. The fingerprint reader usually found below the screen has seemingly been moved to the side of the phone, and on the back you"ll find dual rear cameras coming in at 12 and 8 megapixels, while the front-facing shooter will be just 5 MP. The third generation also carries the typical pins on the back of the phone to allow the use of MotoMods.
With the majority of the device"s specs already out there, it"s unlikely that Motorola will pull any surprises at the event, but we"ll have to wait until June 6 to be sure.
