Motorola"s Moto G series has long been known for being affordable devices that provide a lot of value, and the G7 series that the Lenovo subsidiary announced today is no different. The Moto G7 family includes the G7, G7 Play, G7 Plus, and the newest addition, the G7 Power.
With the exception of the Moto G7 Plus, which has a Snapdragon 636, they all have a Snapdragon 632 chipset, which should offer a significant performance boost over the previous generation. Historically, the G-series has included the Snapdragon 400 series.
They include 19:9 Max Vision displays, with the Moto G7 coming in at 1080p and the smaller models coming in at 720p. The notch seems to get smaller as the device gets bigger too, with the G7 Play including the largest notch and the G7 using a teardrop style.
The Moto G7 Play promises up to 40 hours of battery life, and it comes in an aluminum body. It"s put to shame by the all-glass Moto G7 Power though, which has a 5,000mAh battery that Motorola says can go on for days. Like the G7 Play, the G7 and G7 Plus have a 3,000mAh battery.
Of course, Motorola also talked about camera features, such as Spot Color. It"s also bringing Cinemagraph down to the G-series; previously, it was exclusive to Moto Z. High Res Zoom is a feature that takes multiple frames and combines them into one, promising to provide better quality with digital zoom.
While the Moto G7 Play supports 10W charging, the G7 and G7 Power support 15W TurboPower, and Motorola says that 15 minutes of charging on the G7 Power will get you nine hours of use. The Moto G7 Plus supports 27W TurboPower.
All of these devices will be available in the spring, although the Moto G7 Plus isn"t coming to the United States. The G7 Play will cost $199, the G7 Power will by $249, and the G7 will be $299.
