Hardware specifications of the upcoming Motorola Droid Turbo for Verizon have leaked, revealing some essential information about the device.
Motorola launched its flagship, the new Moto X, recently and is also rumored to be working on the next Nexus smartphone codenamed "Shamu". But according to a new leak, the company has another flagship level device in the works for Verizon, known as Droid Turbo.
The hardware specifications of the Droid Turbo are higher than the Moto X and similar to the rumored specs of the Nexus 6. These include a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with Adreno 420 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, 20 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.
Except for the screen size, these specifications are strikingly similar to the Nexus 6. Design-wise the Droid Turbo is quite different from the current crop of Motorola smartphones which feature a minimalistic design language with dual speaker grilles on the front. But this has been the case for most smartphones available on Verizon from Motorola.
As of now there is no information about the release date of the Droid Turbo, but we can expect something around the launch of the Nexus 6 in October.
