Though you may have forgot about it, Motorola is still very much an active company. Last year’s launch of the Moto X in the US, the first phone since the company was purchased by Google, received praise from many in the industry. Now it seems, Motorola is finally ready to bring the device to Europe and it’s sending out invites for a special UK event.
The Moto X was viewed as the first device to come out of the Motorola Google partnership. Even though the device was generally well received it failed to make a splash in the super-saturated market of the US. The very customizable Moto X got lost between all the other products that Samsung, Nokia and others launched as well as the autumn release of the new iPhone.
Now the company is finally expanding its market, and we think it’s very likely that a European Moto X version is just days away. Motorola is sending out invites for a special event in London for January 14th where the company will announce a “new addition to the European Motorola family”.
In case you need a refresher the Moto X sports a 4.7-inch AMOLED screen and it’s powered by a 1.7Ghz Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Snapdragon processor.
Time will tell if this European launch will transform the Moto X into a hit or if the phone is destined to fade as so many Android phones before it.
