Tomorrow, Motorola is going to launch a flagship phone, something it hasn"t done in nearly three years. The last true flagship from the company was the Moto Z2 Force. The following year, the Moto Z3 had the same Snapdragon 835 processor as its predecessor at a time when everyone was using a Snapdragon 845, and last year, the Moto Z4 had a mid-range chipset.
During that time, Motorola was focusing on 5G, or more specifically, 5G on Verizon"s network. It introduced the Verizon-exclusive 5G Moto Mod alongside the Moto Z3, and the mid-range specs that followed provided a low-price alternative to expensive 5G handsets of the day.
At Qualcomm"s Snapdragon Technology Summit in December, Motorola announced that it was going to reenter the premium phone space. It also committed to producing devices using both the Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 865 throughout 2020.
There have been various leaks about a possible new flagship phone from the Lenovo-owned firm, but you"ll have to tune in tomorrow for details. You"ll be able to catch the live-stream here. At this time, there"s no YouTube link, but we"ll update this page if one shows up.
