Motorola One Zoom debuts with 48MP camera and more, available for $449.99

Along with the Moto E6 Plus, Motorola also announced today a new addition to its Motorola One family of devices, the One Zoom. The smartphone"s main selling point is its quad-camera, featuring a 48MP main sensor.

The rest of the camera features are quite typical in light of the recently launched mid-range handsets like the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018). In addition to the main camera, the phone has a 16MP ultra-wide angle shooter, 8MP optical zoom snapper with OIS, and a 5MP depth sensor. Its camera is also optimized for low light situations and for night-time shooting with the Night vision mode for "vivid, grain-free" photos. On the front sits a 25MP camera. Round the back is also the Motorola logo that serves as an LED notification light to alert you for texts, phone calls, and more.

The Motorola One Zoom sports a 6.4-inch Max Vision OLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Its body"s edges are rounded for a convenient grip. Also, its back is made of a 3D satin glass to avoid smudges and fingerprints, according to the company.

Under the hood, the handset is powered by a Snapdragon 675 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, as per GSMArena. It also packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for TurboPower that will supposedly keep the phone juiced up for several hours in just a few minutes of charging.

The Motorola One Zoom comes in gradient color options: Electric Gray, Cosmic Purple, and Brushed Bronze. It is available to purchase from today in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Latin American countries. It will also go on sale from September 6 in Europe for €429.

For customers in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France, the handset"s Amazon-exclusive variant with built-in Alexa is also up for grabs now. In the U.S., the Motorola One Zoom can be had for $449.99 via Motorola"s online storefront and it"s compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile.
