Motorola sent out invitations today for a press event that will be held in New Delhi next month. The company is expected to unveil the fourth-generation Moto G smartphone and its Plus variant at this event.
Earlier this week, the CEO of Lenovo revealed that Motorola will be launching an exciting device at an event on the 9th of June. However, that event now seems to be for the recently spotted Moto X smartphone rather than the Moto G, as Motorola chose New Delhi to launch the previous generation of the mid-range device as well.
The images of the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus have already leaked online, along with a few specifications . According to rumours, the smartphones will feature a 5.5-inch screen with 1080p resolution, an octa-core Snapdragon CPU, 2 GB of RAM and a 13- or 16-megapixel rear camera depending on the variant. The Plus model is said to feature a fingerprint scanner below the screen.
There is still a lot of information about the devices that is not yet known, but things will become clearer at Motorola"s event on the 17th of May.
