MSI introduces a 13-inch business convertible, the Summit E13 Flip

You may know MSI as a gaming-focused brand, and the company had a lot to share on the front at this year"s CES. But if you"re more into productivity, the company has also expanded its Summit series with its first-ever 13-inch convertible, the Summit E13 Flip.

The Summit E13 Flip features a 13.4-inch display in the ever more popular 16:10 aspect ratio (1920x1200). It"s a convertible, meaning you can rotate the display 360 degrees, and it supports touch and pen input. In fact, a pen with 4096 levels of pressure and tilt support is included in the box with the device. The PC also has an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustments.

The Summit E13 Flip is powered by Intel"s Core i7-1185G7 across the board, meaning you don"t get the option to step down from that, and you get the latest Iris Xe graphics for some extra GPU performance. You can choose between 16GB of RAM paired with 512GB of SSD storage or 32GB of RAM with 1TB of storage. There are also versions with Windows 10 Home or Pro, for a total of four different configurations.

In terms of ports, you naturally get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, along with a combo audio jack and a hidden microSD card slot. There"s also a physical switch to turn off the webcam if you"re worried about privacy. For wireless, you get the latest Wi-Fi 6E, with support for the 6GHz band.

MSI promises over 18 hours of battery life from its 70Whr battery, and it supports fast charging capable of getting the device back up to 70% in an hour.

The Summit E13 Flip starts at $1,599 but it doesn"t yet seem to be available for pre-order.
