MSI has been keeping its track record of producing computing devices geared towards gamers, and that tradition continues at Computex 2018. The Taiwanese IT company has introduced two new gaming laptops at the computer expo event: the GF63 and the PS42.
While traditional gaming rigs used to be bulky and unwieldy, MSI"s newest gaming computers boast improved portability with their near edge-to-edge design. The laptops" thin bezels help to significantly reduce their weight and dimension, a standard set by MSI"s GS65 Stealth Thin with its 4.9mm bezel.
GF63
The GF63 includes a 15.6-inch display paired with an ultra-slim design that almost ditches the side bezels despite carrying up to eighth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics, and up to seven hours of battery life.
The gaming laptop features a brushed aluminum cover embellished with MSI"s signature red dragon shield, plus an asymmetric dual-pattern on the bottom. The GF63 is optimized by the updated MSI Dragon Center 2.0 to amp up the gamers" experience.
PS42
The 14-inch PS42, the newest addition to the Prestige Series, packs an ultra-slim footprint with a weight of 1.19 kg and a height of 15.9mm. Despite its extreme thinness, the laptop is still able to handle up to Intel eighth-gen Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce graphics, plus a fingerprint scanner. MSI also claims that its battery can last more than 10 hours.
While enhancing a user"s gaming experience, the new laptops include the new Killer Wireless xTend Technology designed to boost a home network. MSI has also partnered with BlueStacks to develop the MSI APP Player app, which will allow users to play mobile games on gaming computers.
