MTV to Join List of Channels Selling Shows on iTunes

MTV are set to join the growing list of TV channels who are now offering their shows for download over Apple"s popular music download service, iTunes. Original programs from the channel can now be downloaded for as little as $1.99 per episode.

This comes following a similar move by NBC to distribute its own shows via the digital music store. Programs such as Late Night with Conan O"Brien, Law and Order, and The Office have already been available for some time.

This move is being made by various companies to provide viewers with legal means to re-watch shows, and persuade them not to download them illegally from P2P services such as torrents.
