NeoBytes :) is an occasional feature that takes a step back from the big headlines, to take a look at what else is happening in the vast, scary expanse of the tech world - often with a cynical eye, always with a dose of humour.
Last year, Ellen DeGeneres did a live demonstration of just how much power lies within a selfie, when 2.4 million retweets caused a brief Twitter outage. In the last few years, many have tried to make the best one, but few have mastered the forbidden art of taking a proper photo of themselves.
For those of you who want to walk the hidden path to the perfect selfie, City Literary college has recently introduced a course on the art of "self portraiture". It"s a one month journey, in which you will sharpen your skills with "ideas and concepts that surround self portraiture", fight with the daunting settings of a DSLR camera, and learn to avoid danger zones like the bathroom, and dark areas in general.
To begin the adventure, you"ll need £132, or £106 for seniors. There are no strict requirements for entry, but you must avoid point-to-shoot cameras, as they can make you stray from the path to the highest quality selfie.
