Today I am pleased to announce that Neowin will be covering this years Microsoft professional developers conference.
If you"ve been following Neowin for years then you"ll know we covered every aspect of the Longhorn beta at conferences such as PDC, WinHEC and CES.
This years PDC is expected to have a software+services focus. Microsoft is remaining tight lipped about most of the Windows 7 sessions and according to Mike Swanson (a technical evangelist at Microsoft) we are in for a treat at PDC this year. Mike has revealed there will be as many as 20 Windows 7 specific sessions and this number could grow as some are top secret and will only be unveiled after the keynotes. Attendees will be given 160GB portable HDDs packed with "the goods" so this points towards the possibility of an early Windows 7 build and lots of other developer tools packed onto the HDD.
We plan to cover the best Windows 7 sessions and get a great insight into what Microsoft has planned for its Windows Live Mesh and Windows Live services and the future of cloud computing and Windows 7.
The conference begins on the 27th October and runs through to the 30th. Keep an eye out for a special section of the site to follow all the days developments.
