TrueType Fonts in Linux – The Easy Way
One of the first things I noticed when I booted to the Linux desktop was that the fonts looked pretty crummy. This was especially true when viewing pages on the web. The lack of TrueType fonts in Linux is an issue for many new users. Most websites and documents are created using TrueType fonts such as arial and veranda. In my opinion, things just don"t look as good using the default Linux fonts. Luckily the Mandrake 8.1 and Lycoris Desktop/LX distributions make installing TrueType fonts painless.
