A few hours ago, Microsoft announced that a new trailer for Halo 5: Guardians was scheduled to arrive sometime this weekend. But it now appears that the one-and-a-half minute trailer has leaked online.
Last week, Microsoft showcased a story trailer as part of a Halo 5: Guardians advertising campaign, where it was announced that the Master Chief had "died in the line of duty". This caused an uproar from fans, due to the potential danger that the face of the franchise, may be in.
In today’s trailer, we have discovered the cover-up surrounding the event, and how the "Office of Naval Intelligence" fabricated the story to suit their desires. The live-action trailer follows Blue Team, consisting of the Master Chief and allies from his early years, as they are tracked by Fireteam Osiris, who have been sent to eliminate the squad. The trailer, like the game, discusses the ethics behind government organizations and finding the truth behind events.
The trailer was posted by community member Nowise10, who found the video on his Xbox One dashboard. Originally, the trailer was supposed to make its debut on Sunday night, during the finale of "Fear The Walking Dead". Halo 5: Guardians is set to arrive on October 27th for the Xbox One.
