New Injustice 2 'Its Good to be Bad' trailer shows off the game's super-villains

NetherRealm Studios has been unveiling characters that will appear in Injustice 2, such as Swamp Thing since the game"s announcement back in 2016, and now a new trailer has dropped, adding a couple of new faces to the roster.

Although the line between heroes and villains is largely blurred in the Injustice universe, the new trailer showcases some iconic DC supervillains in all their evil glory.

As seen above, the trailer has some new footage of a couple of previously revealed characters: Bane and Gorilla Grodd, with the telepathic gorilla even getting to make his nemesis, The Flash, play a game of "why are you hitting yourself". Bane"s move-set looks true to his imposing form as well, giving the impression of slow but powerful attacks, added with a lot of flexing.

The trailer also reveals two new characters that are joining the game"s lineup. Another popular Flash rival, Captain Cold, is one of them. Known for his cold gun that has a range of freezing-related powers that he uses in combat. Lastly, it shows the Scarecrow, a notorious supervillain who uses the fears of his enemies against themselves, and a regular opponent of Batman.

All of these supervillains have been introduced in many recent DC Universe movies, TV shows, and games in different styles. It will be interesting to see how the developer will tackle each one.

Injustice 2 is set to launch on May 16 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a mobile version also in the works.
