New Linux desktop looks just like Windows

The latest version of XPde has hit the web and is causing something of a stir. The small upstart project to make Linux look just like Windows 2000 is starting to look, well, just like Windows 2000.

XPde is not meant to be some amazingly complicated project to bring all of the Windows functionality to Linux. It just looks like Windows. But it does that very well indeed. Try taking a look at this image of XPde"s version of Windows Explorer.

All in all, it looks very much like Windows. Whether it acts like Windows is a completely different matter. We notice that there aren"t any screenshots of a BSOD.
