New Nexus 7 unveiled by Best Buy ahead of Google event

Not wanting to wait for Google’s upcoming announcement, Best Buy has launched its pre-order pages for the brand new Nexus 7.

The retailer is featuring high-res images of Google’s new tablet and it also confirms some of the earlier specs we’ve heard. The tablet will feature a 1920 x 1200 resolution on its 7-inch screen, 2GB of RAM, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 8064 and a 5 Megapixel rear camera.

The device will be available in 16GB and 32GB flavors. And speaking of flavors Best Buy is also confirming that the new tablet is arriving with Android 4.3, which still carries the moniker “Jelly Bean”.

Oh, and if this wasn"t enough, check out this video of someone unboxing the new tablet.

Be sure to stick around for Google’s official announcements later on today for the tablet as well as for Android 4.3.
