OnePlus has begun rolling out an over-the-air (OTA) update for the Nord that brings with it a few fixes and improvements. The update is first being rolled out for the Indian and global variant bringing OxygenOS 10.5.7.AC01DA and OxygenOS 10.5.7.AC01AA, respectively. The update for the EU models will be rolled out soon, which bears the version number 10.5.7.AC01BA.
The changelog for the update also mentions a display calibration improvement, which possibly points to a fix for the recently reported display tinting issues. Interestingly, while the company did acknowledge that a fix for the problems was on its way, the firm has removed the forum thread that described the issue. The thread previously called this a “characteristic of all OLED displays” and that the noticed discoloration “disappears when the screen brightness increases”.
Here is the complete changelog:
- Power
- Improved general power consumption
- Camera
- Improved 4k 60 FPS video stabilization of front camera
- Improved image clarity of macro camera
- Display
- Improved general display calibration
- Bluetooth
- Improved Bluetooth connection stability
- Network
- Improved voice call stability
While the changelog is not massive, there are improvements to power consumption and camera stabilization, which should improve the battery life and camera performance, which are welcome additions.
The company adds that the update is incremental, meaning that the rollout will happen in a staggered fashion. A small set of users will first begin receiving the update in the mentioned regions, so it might be a few days before it makes it to all devices.
