This year, the leaks have been all over the place for Apple"s upcoming iPhones. If the rumors are to be believed, the firm is expected to announce two devices that will become replacements for last year"s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, along with a third device, that is meant to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the iPhone. Today, new renders have been revealed that are based on a CAD file that was obtained from a reliable source within the accessory industry.
According to the information, the CAD file is based on the smaller variant of the iPhone, which would make the design that we see above even more interesting, due to its camera setup. Although Apple has made a habit to include better camera optics in its Plus model, it looks like the dual lens feature that made its first appearance on the iPhone 7 Plus, will be making its way to its smaller sibling in the next iteration. Perhaps even more impressive is that the source also states that the front-facing camera will also offer a dual camera setup and the screen size will be getting a tiny bump, going from a 4.7-inches to 5-inches, with the fingerprint reader sitting flush with the screen.
While the overall design isn"t a radical change from the iPhone 6 and iPhone 7, the back of the upcoming device will not be made of metal, but will instead offer a glossy black finish made of glass, that will allow for the device to be charged wirelessly. Although the source is being stated as reliable, things can always change with so many months left before Apple officially reveals the handsets.
