This past week was a good one when it comes to news about upcoming smartphones. Honor revealed its Magic 2, Lenovo teased its bezel-less smartphone, and Xiaomi finally revealed its Mi MIX 3. Since the initial reveal, we have received more information about the Mi MIX 3, like how it will support 5G, which makes it a very compelling option for someone looking for a new phone. Now, it appears that there could be confirmation about its slider design.
While companies like Oppo and Vivo make use of motorized pop-up cameras, Xiaomi will keep things simple, requiring users to slide down the screen of its upcoming phone, in order to activate and reveal the front-facing camera.
A new video has been posted to Weibo, showing off the phone and this design. Although some might complain about this design, it could offer better reliability than its motorized counterparts. Luckily, we won"t have to wait long to find out all the details, as the phone is expected to launch sometime in October.
