New World Computing update

Former members of the 3DO-owned studio that created the Heroes of Might and Magic series say the offices will close today.

A report on the fan site Celestial Heavens points to message board posts by former members of New World Computing revealing that the studio"s offices will close today. 3DO had paid to keep the offices in Solvang, California, open until this point. The former employees speculate that bankrupt publisher 3DO will likely sell off the studio and the Heroes of Might and Magic franchise separately from its other assets. In the meantime, some of those who had been working on a new Heroes of Might and Magic game have since taken jobs with other game developers.
