Earlier this month, Microsoft announced that people signed up for its beta system update program would soon be able to test some new features. Over the weekend, Microsoft launched a new update for its beta testers to try out.
DuelShockers reports that one of the improvements in this beta download is supposed to fix problems in the Xbox One"s Game DVR feature. Specifically, this should deal with an issue that was causing some game footage that was being recorded on the console to be uploaded without the included audio track.
The beta also now includes the promised manual game update that will allow Xbox One owners to download any system changes immediately, without having to wait for it to be rolled out. The change notes also indicate that there has been some "underlying OS changes" that will be required for planned future updates.
Microsoft has already said that it plans to offer a sound mixer at some point that will let users control the volume levels of two apps while they are in Snap mode so that one can be louder than the other. There will also be a way for Xbox One owners to voluntarily decide to send information to Microsoft so they can improve the console"s Kinect features. The update will be made available for all owners of the console later in May.
