Google has released the "AJAX Search Wizard" which allows anyone to add a video, news, and local search results to their web page, without writing any code. In the first step, the step wizard will ask for style (vertical or horizontal), search expression (what news headlines to track) and a custom title for the news bar. The second step is the catch: "Tell us about your website". The control uses Google"s AJAX Search API which requires a free API key that"s associated with the user"s Google Account and the URL of one"s web site. Also, the user must agree to the terms of use. The third step is simply to hit the "Generate Code" button along with copying and pasting it into the given web page.
Google supports the editing of the generated code (adding CSS or changing the JavaScript) for that custom feel. "The AJAX Search API allows you to interact programmatically with Google search results including Google web, video, news, and blog searches. If you"re a developer, take a look at the documentation to see how you can integrate dynamic Google search into your website in other creative ways."
