The Nextbit Robin burst onto the scene nearly two years ago with promises of a handset that would get better over time. While the handset was undeniably charming in its looks, the firm would later by bought out by Razer. Although Nextbit would stop the sales of its Robin handset and its accessories, it vowed to continue support for the unit until February 2018. True to its word, the firm delivered Android 7.0 Nougat in March and has now released its latest update, Android 7.1.1.
Although the factory images are available for download from the Razer website, those that want an easier solution will most likely want to wait for the over the air download. If you are going to flash your device using the provided image, be sure to backup your device data, as the update will wipe it and revert your handset back to a stock state.
Although Nextbit does not offer the handset through its website, you can now pick it up from third parties for as low as $149.99. Sadly, the firm has only committed to six months of warranty from January 2017, so you most likely won"t get any further hardware support for these units.
