Gamers on the Xbox One finally have the chance to experience PlatinumGames" hit action RPG from last year, NieR: Automata. Just as Square Enix announced during E3 week, the game has now launched on Microsoft"s Xbox One family of consoles, with it arriving for the new platform more than a year after it launched for PlayStation 4 and PC.
Titled the Become as Gods Edition, the new Xbox One version arrives with some extras in addition to the base game. These include the 3C3C1D119440927 DLC pack - which offers special boss fights against the CEOs of Square Enix and PlatinumGames -, as well as several customization items.
Beyond that, the game also arrives with Xbox One X enhancements out of the gate, providing 4K resolution and HDR support for those who have the capable equipment.
NieR: Automata Become as Gods Edition is now available for purchase via the Microsoft Store for $49.99, and as of now, there seem to be no plans for a boxed edition launch.
Last year, the reasoning given by the developer for the absence of an Xbox One version at launch was that the console was not popular enough in Japan to warrant splitting development resources, and it looks like the next PlatinumGames-developed title, Babylon"s Fall, is following the same trend as well, with it only being announced for PC and PlayStation 4.
