This year during E3 week, Ninja Theory unveiled Bleeding Edge, a multiplayer shooter/fighting game that it had been working on even before Microsoft acquired the studio. Now an Xbox platform exclusive, Bleeding Edge received a release date today during Microsoft"s X019 opening presentation, with the game slated to land on March 24, 2020. See the new gameplay trailer above, showcasing the new fighter, Cass.
The four vs. four competitive title boasts a strategic combat system that has players doing combo moves with their special abilities. There are cybernetic mods to change up fighter abilities and weapons, as well as environmental hazards to keep an eye out for during matches as well.
Bleeding Edge is coming to Xbox One, Windows 10 PCs, and Steam, featuring cross-play and cross-save capabilities between all the platforms. Pre-orders are available now at $29.99. As to be expected with Microsoft games, it is also heading to Xbox Game Pass on day one.
Ninja Theory also announced that there are two closed betas happening, slated for February 14 and March 13. Xbox Game Pass subscribers and anyone who pre-orders the game will gain access to these. And, as a bonus to early adopters, pre-order owners and Xbox Game Pass subscribers that play the brawler during the first week of launch will receive an in-game cosmetic bundle named Punk Pack that has exclusive fighter skins, extra taunts, stickers, and more.
