Nioh on PC getting mouse and keyboard support later this week

The Team Ninja-developed Dark Souls-esque action title Nioh left its PlayStation 4 exclusivity earlier this month with the launch of a PC version. While the PC port arrived with the full base game as well as all previously released DLC, it lacked mouse support entirely and the keyboard controls were terrible, forcing players to use a gamepad.

However, an announcement by the Japanese developer today confirmed that keyboard and mouse support is finally heading for the PC version with the upcoming 1.21.03 Update on November 30.

As seen in the tweet above, the update"s main features are the addition of re-bindable keyboard controls and mouse-based camera movement support. Fixes for analog stick sensitivity issues and matchmaking errors at Torii Gates are also included in the update, in addition to other unspecified miscellaneous bug fixes.

While a gamepad is pretty much recommended for playing games such as Dark Souls and Nioh, giving the option of keyboard and mouse controls is never a bad thing. All in all, it is great to see that Team Ninja is continuing its support for the game"s PC version, and hopefully, even more updates are in the pipeline for the future.
