Hello Games has prepared another major content update for No Man"s Sky as the space adventure continues to grow. Titled Outlaws, the update adds a pirate lifestyle for players to experience, instead of being the usual dogooder, as sections of the universe have fallen under rebel control.
Due to pirates suddenly beginning to colonize space stations to expand their smuggling enterprises, players will now be bumping into Outlaw Stations with their own nefarious missions. If flying around with smuggled goods and conducting space piracy for profit while evading Sentinels sounds exciting, that is a path players can take now. There is a high-capacity cargo hold available for ships to equip just for this venture.
Meanwhile, the Solar Starship has landed as a brand-new ship type, the first Hello Games has implemented in over two years. These ships are said to be especially efficient at long range travel, and they come with their own specialized technologies.
The other focus of this update is to offer an overhauled space combat experience, much like how the February Sentinels update did to planetary combat. The rebalanced ship-to-ship combat structure will now offer much better handling and speeds, better visual effects for weapons, shield-equipped enemy vessels, and even secondary effects on weaponry that can hamper enemy flying capabilities.
Space fights that lower into planets for In-atmosphere dogfights, spruced up explosions for dramatic effects, training and recruiting squadrons of wingmen for backup during fights, cloth physics simulation, and much more are included in this massive update. There are plenty more tweaks, upgrades, and bug fixes here too. The full patch notes are here.
The Man"s Sky Outlaws is now available across Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox and PC Game Pass, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
