Nokia 7 Plus specs leaked: 6-inch display, 3 ZEISS lenses, SD660, and more

The supposed specs and features of the upcoming Nokia 7 Plus never cease to make the rounds in the rumor mill. Just a few days ago, a report emerged from China claiming that the rumored handset will be the first true bezel-less smartphone from Nokia with a full-screen display, which means it could feature an 18:9 aspect ratio. Further to that, it was reported that production for the Nokia 7 Plus has kicked off, with the source claiming the device may debut at the Mobile World Congress this month.

Now a new report provides more details about the other key specs of the phone in regard to its design, camera, and performance. According to a report from VTECH, the Nokia 7 Plus retains the essential form factor of the Nokia 7, save for quite a few upgrades. For instance, rumor has it that the handset will sport a 6-inch Full HD display, a major leap from the Nokia 7"s 5.2-inch screen.

Camera-wise, the phone will reportedly adopt the dual camera setup on the back with 12-megapixel +13-megapixel ZEISS-certified lenses. The dual camera is also supposedly capable of achieving 2 times optical lossless zoom and a bokeh effect, thanks to its large aperture. Its front shooter, on the other hand, includes a 16-megapixel lens with an f/2.0 aperture, still certified by ZEISS.

The Nokia Camera app is also rumored to be making its return to the Nokia 7 Plus after a long hiatus, bringing with it a professional shooting mode. This functionality is meant to let users manually control the camera"s shutter speed, ISO, focus, white balance and other features.

Under the hood, the Nokia 7 Plus is likely powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor, which coincides with a recent Geekbench listing. Using a 14-nanometer manufacturing process, the SoC promises a bumped up performance compared to that of Nokia 7. The chipset is backed by the new Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU, according to rumors. It"s also possible that the handset will ship with Android 8.0 out of the box, with room for an Android 8.1 upgrade in the future.
