HMD Global has done a fairly good job of getting the Nokia brand back in the spotlight since licensing the company"s name and its IPs in 2016. While the firm has released an array of models starting with the Nokia 6, none have been considered flagship models until the recently released Nokia 8.
While this handset has yet to penetrate the global market, it appears that it has been tested for durability, going through a variety of tests that check its resilience to scratches, bends, and even fire. Like most handsets, the Gorilla Glass-protected display is capable of resisting light to mid-level scratches but does take some damage when abused. The metal chassis is also fairly resistant to damage and doesn"t flex when purposely bent from the front or the rear.
Overall, the Nokia 8 seems like a fairly sturdy device that should be able to withstand treatment it might encounter in a normal day. Although it is not currently available in the United States, there is the possibility that a custom variant might arrive sometime in the future.
