Nokia 8 Sirocco is now getting Android 10

A few weeks after it announced a revised timeline for the rollout of Android 10 to Nokia-branded smartphones, HMD Global seems to be on a roll with its releases. After the Nokia 7.2, 3.2, and 4.2 all got the update to Android 10, it"s now time for the 2018 flagship, the Nokia 8 Sirocco.

As usual, the announcement comes from Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, on Twitter. And following the recent trend from the company, there"s also a forum post detailing the rollout. The initial release wave includes 35 countries, which are as follows:

Armenia Australia Austria
Azerbaijan Bahrain Belarus
Belgium Denmark Egypt
Finland Georgia Germany
Hong Kong Iceland India
Iraq Iran Jordan
Kazakhstan Kuwait Lebanon
Luxembourg Macau Mongolia
Netherlands New Zealand Norway
Oman Qatar Russia
Saudi Arabia Sweden Switzerland
United Arab Emirates Ukraine

For now, only 10% of users in these markets will see the update. By April 18, it will expand to 50% of users, and by April 20, everyone in these countries will have the update. It will roll out to more markets later on.

With another phone getting the update, there are three other phones that should get the update in the next few days and weeks - the Nokia 2.3, 3.1 Plus, and 6.2. The rest of the lineup, barring 2017 models that are no longer supported, will get the update before the second half of the year.
